What a gorgeous day for a ground breaking!

Thank you to everyone who was able to come out and celebrate this monumental event with us.

Construction started on Monday Oct. 30th, and we can’t wait to watch as our new library comes to fruition.

Thank you to each and every one of you who have contributed time, money, and resources to bring this much needed community service back.

The O’Brien Memorial Library continues our efforts to rebuild.

Our new library will be located on the corner of Blue River Drive and Dexter Street.

  • The O’Brien Memorial Library is volunteer based and has been the heart of our community for over 90 years. We have the pleasure of serving local residents along with those vacationing in the area.

  • Blue River Oregon, September 2020 after the Holiday Farm Fire ravaged our area.

  • The O’Brien Memorial Library was completely devastated by The Holiday Farm Fire. We are now on the journey to rebuilding.

  • Come visit us at our temporary location at the Upper McKenzie Community Center located in beautiful Rainbow Oregon.

  • Working with grant funds and donations, we have new books, DVDs, audio books, wifi, computers and printers for public use.

Did you know you can use Libraries of Oregon to browse over 45 databases

Libraries of Oregon is a joint effort by the State Library of Oregon and Oregon State University Libraries to connect Oregonians with libraries and online resources around the state.

These online resources can be used to find full text articles from magazines, journals, and newspapers, as well as reference ebooks, videos, images, and more.

All Oregon residents have access to online resources provided by the State Library of Oregon.

WIFI is available for use while visiting the library or if we are closed, outside of the library.
